TK Govindankutty Nair alias TKG excelled in different walks of public life such as author, politician and organizer. TKG was born on 18 June 1928

to freedom fighter TK Sankaran Nair and TK Janakiamma at Punnayoorkulam in Thrissur district. 953 he joined as a staff in Navajeevan daily started by the communist party under the editorship of Joseph Mundasserry and after him he became the chief editor. As the editor of Navajeevan, TKG was arrested under official secret act for the publication of a top secret government document in his daily. When  Malayala Manorama started its Kozhikode edition, TKG joined as a member of the editorial board

P Govinda Pillai (Parameswaran Pillai Govinda Pillai), also known as PG, is a  rare intellectual amongst the journalists of Kerala.  Political observer, Parliamentarian, author, orator, linguist, media critic, and philosopher - he is first and foremost a communist who profoundly assimilates and promulgates proletarian theory and above all lives it. He is highly enterprising and relentlessly industrious. Born to Parameswaran Pillai and Parukutty Amma in a middle class family of Pulluvazhi, near Perumbavoor, Ernakulam district, he mastered almost all subjects ranging from astrophysics to spirituality.
