Madhyamajalakam (Media Window) is a weekly news digest programme produced by Kerala Media Academy and broadcast on Doordarshan. The programme acts as a launchpad for the Academy’s Post Graduate Diploma in Television Journalism students. The students prepare reports, do the anchoring and work closely with the faculty and the technical crew to learn the operations of a news channel. Eminent media persons like Thomas Jacob (Former Editorial Director of Malayala Manorama), Dr Sebastian Paul and S D Prince are mentors and regulars in the programme. Other media persons also appear on the show from time to time to speak on various topics. Madhyamajalakam has achieved the glorious milestone of 100 episodes in June 2020. The programme is aired every Sunday at 10.10 am and 10 pm on Doordarshan. Watch the latest episode here.
